Medicare

We are not a participating provider for MEDICARE. Medicare does not cover the majority of services provided in our office (Examinations, therapy, exercise prescriptions and maintenance care etc are NOT covered). In addition, Medicare will not cover Xrays, Lab work, or a physical therapy referral prescribed by a chiropractor. They will cover chiropractic adjustments in acute states, under particular guidlines.

However, I am certified to provide care to Medicare patients. I am considered a non-participant. It simply means that we will bill the allowable billing rates set forth by Medicare for covered services and must charge our full price to you for non-covered services. Confused? I think it is designed that way. I try to make care, especially for seniors, as affordable as possible. Once I perform an exam, I can determine the type of care you may need and the fee structure from there.

And finally, if a provider is not enrolled in Medicare, they cannot treat you for cash, check, money order, chickens, eggs, etc. It is against the law! How they can get away with this restrain of trade I'll never know!
